  1. Oak Park Lacrosse HUDL and Recruiting

Introduction • Introduced to Lax in 2006 with both sons • Thousand Oaks Youth Director 2007-2008 • Grant moved to OP in 2008 for freshman year • SCLA Youth Director 2009 and 2010 • Coached at Middle School level • Director of OP Lax Operations 2010 – present • Recruiting Process • 12.8 scholarships - DI / DII only • Use lacrosse to get you into a school you might not have gotten into • Grant Consoletti • Robert Morris • Naval Academy • UMass

  3. VIDEO is the KEY No college coaches were watching when Oak Park went undefeated in 2011 but they all saw how well Grant played via video GOOD video makes it easier NO video makes it impossible

  4. Game film is broken down into Offensive and Defensive possessions • Playlists are created for clears, rides, goals scored / allowed, man up/down, etc • Coaches “mark up” clips to indicate positioning or decision errors • Clips are uploaded to HUDL for players to view • Players view marked up clips from coaches • Players clips to be included in their highlight reels • Premium highlight reel created at end of season • Title Page • Clips are shortened to show specific highlight • Athlete is spot shadowed in clip • Music can be added • Additional Title pages can be added for contact info, future events, etc. • Completed highlight reel can be downloaded for $9 and uploaded to other • recruiting programs like Lacrosse Recruits

  5. Off Season is Important • Summer / Fall Season Options: • Play a sport • Play on the best club team you can make • West Coast Starz • LA Lazers • Team West Coast • Silverfin • Maverik • OP Starz • GET VIDEO – don’t waste your $

  6. Important Biggest mistake made by players: “I am playing West Coast Starz or going to the Sonoma Showcase or High Rollers, the coaches will notice me” Recruiters need to know who you are PRIOR to the event and have you on their list to see at the event

  7. You have a great highlight video from your High School season and one from the Summer recruiting season NOW WHAT?

  8. Get Video to recruiters Option 2 Free Option 1 $199 / year You may only get one shot with a recruiter A good FIRST IMPRESSION is vital

  9. Free to Oak Park players • Gets your video in front of coaches who are interested in you • IMPORTANT: Completely fill out your profile including transcript and video.

  10. $199 per year • Allows coaches to search athletes • Allows you to search all colleges • Allows you to email all coaches • Provides a website link for coaches to view • Gets your video in front of coaches who are interested
