  1. Track Online Marketing KPIs to Improve Your Website Traffic In order to know for certain if a marketing strategy is bringing any profit or not, companies track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that tell them where to improve and what to change. Keeping track of KPIs helps you strategize better. Tracking online marketing KPIs is much easier than other marketing strategies. The digital world always follows a path that is easy to trace back to the starting point. Following are the KPIs that you should track if you want to improve your marketing: Web Traffic Sources: Your website gets traffic from different sources, such as direct, referral, campaign and through search engines. Keeping track of all these sources helps you know what source is helping you most to boost your marketing. If you are getting more traffic from referral, that means people are talking more about your brand on social media and other websites, while more search engine traffic means people search for keywords related to your brand. First Visit Audience: After knowing how people found your website, it is important to know how long they stay on your website. This can be estimated by the amount of time they spend on your site as well as how many pages they browse through while they were on it. If the time is less that means your website is lacking the content the visitor was looking for. Returning Visitors: If someone visits a website more than one time, then this helps the digital marketing team of your brand to analyze if the content they are putting up on the web is helpful for the audience or not. Total Visits: This helps to determine the popularity of your website. Most brands have a specific target for total visits on their website and their future strategies depend on the success or failure of achieving this target.
