School-Based New Apprentices are required to: • be enrolled in a senior secondary certificate (the SACE) ; • seek acknowledgment and endorsement from their school regarding the COT/Training Plan; • sign a Contract of Training with an employer; • attend school part-time, be employed part-time and attend formal VET training; • be paid a pro-rata wage for work & formal VET training
