  3. What is the Internet? • global computer network: a network that links computer networks all over the world by satellite and telephone, connecting users with service networks such as e-mail and the World Wide Web

  4. Is the internet a part of the real world? • The Internet is very big; in fact, it's huge. No, it is not part of the real world. The real world is made up of you, your neighborhood, and school while the Internet only exists on computers

  5. What are some good things on the internet? You can use the internet to learn such as: • Reading stories, http://www.arkive.org/

  8. Is the Internet made for kids? • Only some of the Internet is made for kids.

  9. What is personal information? • Anything that identifies where you live or your private property. • Some examples of personal information are: Your first and last name, phone number, street address, and email address.

  10. Should you give your personal information to someone you don’t know? • No! You should keep your personal information locked up inside your castle. Sometimes people you don’t know can use that information to trick you.

  11. How should we treat others on the internet? Treat people the way you want to be treated. Should we treat people on the internet the same way we would treat them in the real world? Yes of course!

  12. What is the best thing to do on the internet? • Be kind and helpful is the best way to make the internet safe for everyone! • If one of your friends is having a hard time with a game online, what should you do? Help your friend and not let them feel bad for needing help!

  13. What if something you see makes you feel bad or uncomfortable? Tell an adult you trust. • Who is an adult you can trust? • Your parents, brother, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teacher.
