New for summer 2009/10 – • 3 new ‘AMIGOS’ and 3 GPS/AWS deployed by LARISSA glaciology team • New West Antarctic AWS ‘Thomas’ at ice core drilling site near Pine Island • Repairs to Dismal Island AWS… finally! • Plans for Summer 2010/11 - • 4 new AWS in transect across Peninsula for OFCAP project • New Dutch AWS on Scar Inlet? • Relocation of Thomas AWS to next year’s drill site • SBD iridium real-time data transmission trials on BAS AWS
