The Chocolate Factory Task List Session one – Friday afternoon □ Make sure you are assigned an Identification Number □ Pay attention to the explanation on the Chocolate Factory interface and familiarise yourself with the interface. □ Chocolate Factory first run (2 hours) □ Collect “Questionnaire 3 (Self Evaluation)”; you can either fill in on the spot or do so afterwards at your leisure.

Launch the program • Start → All Programs → SONS → Chocolate Factory • Input your Identification Number • Follow the guided demonstration carefully • Your task • Make money • Run the factory accordingly: • Order materials, choose productions, check sales, keep staff happy, choose marketing strategies (if you wish so), determine prices, ensure deliveries, ect..

4. Questions? • You have roughly 2 hours for this session • Some parts of the interface will not be immediately clear • You will NOT have all information needed; you will need to figure a few things by yourself • This is intentional: dealing with it is part of the exercise • Ideally, we would like you to play roughly 6+ iterations in this session. We expect the first 2-3 will take longer than the following ones • Manage your time accordingly • Read the ‘Chocolate Factory User Guide’ carefully before you start • Ask a facilitator at any time if you have problems with the interface
