  5. Today I’ve been unemployed for a long time. This is because I am a single parent taking care of my daughter. But I have worked in the past doing volunteering in my community. 1stly I found a volunteer post at the London Children’s Hospice Charity shop. I have tried to improve the shop display. I also looked for other volunteers and so on. 2ndly , I represent parents of children attending ST. Augustine Primary School at School the Governor's meetings. It’s not easy, but I’m happy with that. Nevertheless, I ‘m trying to find a job again in the retail sector: I would like to combine my passion for colours and fashion with the need to work.

  6. Employment 1999-2001 Karesha Boutique, London Sales Assistant I really love my colleagues, they are like friends to me! This is the main reason I was so sad when I had to stop working at the boutique. Duties: I started as a sales assistant and in a year became a Sales Manager! During the first year, I was really exhausted in the evening: liaising with clients in all areas of sales; stocking, replenishing and cleaning sales areas; assisting with product selection; processing payments; offering advice to customers; dealing with customer complaints; monitoring and updating sales display areas... Many of my family members are traders, and I have a natural talent for sales. I think I certainly have patience with customers. Nevertheless, sometimes they are not easy. They need attention and is impossible to satisfy them!

  7. Employment 2001-2002 Karesha Boutique, London Store & Sales Manager Duties: After a year working as a Sales Assistant, I was promoted to Store & Sales Manager. It was hard too, but I loved more this job and having more responsibilities! My boss, Mr John, was a kind manager, and everything was great. My daily duties: Select, train and supervise 10 sales assistant; Report to head office on weekly takings, select seasonal garments, supervise weekly display and make recommendations. Karesha boutique was a charming and fashionable boutique, loved by people with taste. My friends came to visit the store and stay a while to talk with me! There was a cool and cosy feeling.

  8. EX-Employment at Karesha Boutique, London What a sad story! The Karesha boutique bankruptcy (2002) is due to 2 reasons: Of course Mr. John was responsible for this! He was a gambler and lost all his profits at the casino. but also … 2. Shoplifters like this one, >>>>> caught by CCTV camera at the store…Do you know him? If so, call the police! (it is not a JOKE!)

  9. Employment 1997-1999 Assistant Administrator, Xony Corporation, Head Office Wembley London This job was a challenge for me! I had no previous experience in this sector, so I had to learn the “know how” from scratch! I don’t think that this job suited my personality, but I learned some new things. Duties: Oversee all information including IT systems; Analyse and distribute incoming mail and re-direct to the appropriate department. By the way, I was awarded “Best employee of the year”. Customs Clearance Officer, Import Division – Heathrow Duties: Daily use of Sage system to access and monitor financial information. Produced weekly stock and financial reports for Team Supervisor.
