  5. Thankfully, social views of women have changed since the early 20th century and women now enjoy the same freedoms as men. Ironically, however, stereotyped gender roles are still prominent today. • What is the stereotyped female role in terms of behavior and actions? • What is the stereotyped male role in terms of behavior and actions? • What types of behavior are considered unacceptable for both males and females? • How do society, parents, and even schools today influence gender roles? • Do we have the right to say “What is right and what isn’t” in terms of acceptable male and female behavior? Should there be separate guidelines? • Are men and women equal in all things?
