  2. Examine the underlinedwords in each sentence, and use context clues to predict the meaning of the words.

  3. Parts of Speech Review • Noun-names a person, place, thing, or abstract idea. • Pronoun-replaces a noun. • Verb-expresses the action of the sentence or state of being. • Adjective-describes a noun. • Adverb-describes a verb-usually ends in “ly”.
