First off: What is important about a lab report? • A lab report is a report in which you submit to your teacher once a lab is done. • It is important to write lab reports because it organizes your thoughts of the lab so that others can see what you did or how you were thinking.
What does every lab report have to have? • Every lab report must have a question, a hypothesis, materials, procedure, results, a discussion, and a conclusion. • Your writing must be in complete sentences and easily understood. • Your writing shouldn’t be too self-referential (Ex: I put the…) • The first page of a lab report must be a title page. • You should also write the report as if you are writing to other students.
Will examples help teach someone else? • Of course! Examples are a great way of showing others what exactly it is that you mean. • Your examples should be clear and understandable to others.
Is it better to show or tell someone else about lab reports? • In my opinion, it is better to show someone else about lab reports because personally, I learn best when shown, not told. • However, everyone may have their own different opinions on how to explain lab reports to others
