CPIM which stands for Certified in Production and Inventory Management is a training course run by APICS (Advancing Productivity, Innovation, and Competitive Success) that teaches you the knowledge needed to identify, consider, and strengthen production and inventory activities inside a business' supply chain. APICS The Association for Operations Management is a world leader as well as a premier knowledge resource in supply chain and operations management, • APICS, has about 50,000 personal and 20,000 corporate members. • The organization was established in 1957 to grow the information base offered to professional managers. • It's international in scope, offering memberships to individuals and corporations, as well as academic groups, worldwide. • APICS is most widely known for its two globally recognized certifications CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional).  APICS Background
