  1. Gluu embeds TiQR for secure and free multi-factor authentication Gluu, a leading provider of open source enterprise authorization and authentication systems, announced today that it has named Falcon System Consulting, a development vendor of authentication security software, an exclusive delivery partner in Japan and South Korea. The partnership will enable Falcon to offer Gluu’s comprehensive open source OAuth 2.0 and SAML IDP to Japanese and Korean organizations looking to upgrade their authentication and authorization infrastructure to be interoperable with new open web standards, such as OpenID Connect and UMA, that will alter and enhance how organizations offer single sign-on (SSO), two-factor authentication (2FA), and web access management (WAM) to employees, partners, customers and others. “Were thrilled to partner with Falcon to help Gluu serve customers in Japan and South Korea,” said Gluu CEO Mike Schwartz. “Falcon has deep experience advising large electronics, gaming and higher education organizations. Together we can offer a compelling operational service to enable our customers to drive down the cost, and drive up the quality of their authentication and authorization service.”

  2. “The IT markets in Japan and Korea are ready for an open source alternative to high priced proprietary solutions,” says Masamichi Takahashi, President and CEO of Falcon Systems Consulting. “With Gluu, we can help customers build robust global authentication networks that enable flexible, adaptive, and strong authentication technologies that respect the autonomy of each domain and each region’s privacy laws.” Falcon contacted Gluu regarding the 5/1/2013 press release about Toshiba’s use of Gluu’s open source software. Facon specializes in authentication and has served the Japanese IT market since the year 2000. Their clients include members of the academic federation, a data center services, transportation service, and vendors who may want to interoperate with not only B2B but also B2C in the future. “Falcon can help us develop both the tools and rules to authenticate and authorize people which is needed by organizations both at the center, and at the periphery of the ecosystem.” added Schwartz. About Gluu: Gluu provides IT services to large organizations to help them design, build, and operate authentication and authorization (AA) systems to secure web and mobile applications using open source software

  3. . Gluu leverages open standards such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, and RADIUS to enable organizational strong authentication, single sign-on (SSO), and web access management (WAM). The OX open source project, maintained by Gluu, implements two profiles of Oauth2: OpenID Connect for authentication and UMA for authorization. Gluus OX management service enables organizations to quickly deploy an AA service for their Internet domain, on the IAAS platform of their choice. Gluus dedicated server delivery model allows security conscious organizations to centrally manage authorization and authentication using their own servers, from inside their own network. This mitigates a number of security concerns associated with multi-tenant identity solutions. In addition, because all the software is open source, there are no per user or agent licensing fees, which makes the total cost of ownership markedly less than proprietary monolithic IAM offerings by companies like Oracle, IBM and CA. About Falcon Systems Consulting: Since its establishment in 2000, Falcon System Consulting Co., Ltd. has been developing and marketing secure and convenient authentication systems using advanced security technology. Their web authentication system which was released in April 2003 called “WisePoint” enables RADIUS protocol support in “WisePoint Authenticator”, and Web SSO with image based authentication. We continue to develop enhanced authentication solutions. Falcon plans to exhibit at the Information Security Expo on 10/23-25, in Makuhari Tokyo.
