  1. Gluu Integrates OneID for One-Step, Two-Factor Strong Authentication Gluu, an open source single sign-on and cloud identity company, announced today that it has open-sourced the code needed to support OneID, the first digital identity provider to eliminate the need for usernames and passwords, in its enterprise SSO and cloud identity platform. By integrating OneID, enterprise customers of Gluu can offer their employees, partners, and customers a seamless user experience for strong authentication with single sign-on to cloud, mobile, and social applications using SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect, the soon-to-be standardized profile of OAuth 2.0. “We decided to integrate OneID as a strong authentication solution because it offers both the strength of out-of-band mobile authentication and the convenience of one-click authentication from trusted devices and web browsers,” said Gluu CEO, Mike Schwartz. Customers of Gluu now have four easy-integration options for multi-factor authentication to web access management that support standard interfaces like SAML and OpenID Connect.

  2. Each solution can be used individually or in conjunction with other solutions, which provides a level of flexibility for companies interested in combining single sign-on with unique authentication logic. Other strong authentication solutions supported by Gluu include hard token and soft token mechanisms. “The user experience for single sign on authentication, for both consumers and enterprise, is still maddeningly difficult with too many cases of forgotten passwords, endless forms, and security concerns,” said Steve Kirsch, CTO of OneID. ”Its validating to see our partners recognize that OneID’s consumer-centric approach can solve those problems by significantly improving the user experience and driving interoperability for the enterprise.” OneID, used with Gluu’s on-demand cloud identity platform is a fully customizable standards-based authorization and authentication solution that is designed to run “out-of-the-box” on existing hardware or a dedicated cloud server provided by Gluu. Demos of the complete, integrated solution are available by Gluu, and deployments are typically completed in one to three weeks. For more information, visit www.gluu.org and www.oneid.com.
