  5. Terms of agreement Foreign going articles. Duration of the voyage: 5 months. Duration of the contracttion: 2 years. If the ship does not return to the UK within the estimated period, the seamen will be bound by agreement to serve aboard her for a time not exceeding two years.

  6. At the end of this time, they may claim to be returned to a port in the UK at the expense of the company. During this time the seamen will receive the rates of pay which have been agreed upon, accommodation and provisions. The crew agrees to conduct themselves in an orderly, faithful, honest and sober manner and obey all lawful orders given by superiors.

  7. The Master agrees not to take ship to a higher latitude than 75 degrees nor a lower latitude than 60 degrees South. The Master is retaining seamen’s Discharge Books until the end of the voyage.
