  1. 2011 OBX Marathon Molly Kinnisten Mrs. G 5th period Honors English II

  2. What the problem is... The problem is that our county's allowance for education isn't very big. Our schools need more money to give us the right education we need. Some books are so old they have pages ripped out of them and about torn apart. The OBX marathon raises money for our county's education which is good but we should do some more fundraisers to earn more money for our schools.

  3. How I helped... I helped the OBX Marathon by handing out water and gatorade to the participants running. I also cheered the runners on!

  4. What I learned..."Running for a Reason!" I learned that the money raised by the OBX Marathon goes to Dare County's Education Foundation which is good because our schools funds aren't very wide. We need more money to go towards education. "All net proceeds generated by Outer Banks Sporting Events benefit the missions of the Outer Banks Relief Foundation, helping Dare family's in need, and the Dare Education Foundation, supporting excellence in education."   5. The activity was worthwhile... This activity was most deffiantly worthwhile. I would do it again for sure and I would also recommend this to anyone who would like to help out our county's education. I would suggest just doing a lot of fundraisers to keep raising money for our county. I think one way of saving money on books and other things is to get ipads or nooks. You spend the money once instead of buying tons of books.
