Paine Primary’s Read for the World Record Status Report • Current Number of Minutes*: 217,546 minutes • Current difference between 2009 Sunset Palms and Paine: 494,613 minutes • Number of School Days Left in RFWR: 11 Days • Total # of Days Left in RFWR: 15 Days *Total minutes are as of Sunday, August 15th.

Reading Survey Results: • Average number of minutes read in classroom: 34.2 minutes/day in Classroom • Average number of days reading is assigned as homework: Assigned 3.8 days/week • Average number of reading homework minutes deemed reasonable for our students: 14.3 minutes/night is reasonable

Use older dates…

  15. Our Plan’s Outcome? • Homework: 15 minutes x 15 nights x 700 students = 157,500 minutes… • PLUS Classroom: 30 minutes x 11 days x 900 students = 297,000 minutes… • PLUS Read in PJs: 60 minutes x 50 (?) students = 3,000 minutes… • Gives us a total of 674,546 minutes!! WOW - NOT TOO SHABBY!!!
