Situational Analysis • What to know: • Understand that being overweight and obese is more prevalent in college students now than ever • College students are likely to carry extra weight into adulthood • Let’s Move on Campus! will start with WSU and work its way nationwide • Problems: • Buses and cars have replaced walking and biking to class • Food and beverage proportions are larger than ever • There is no parental supervision of college student’s nutrition • College students eat more fast food than home-cooked meals • Fast food is cheap • Fast food is convenient • Fast food is fast

Goals & Objectives The core objectives and goals of the Let’s Move on Campus! campaign are to promote: Healthy lifestyle and diet choices Increase physical activity Communication and campaign objectives are to present the campaign through an integrated marketing communications strategy to have consistent messaging and brand presentation through a variety of owned, paid and earned media. Through theses strategies, we want college students to have a healthier lifestyle now which will enhance their future as well.
