  4. Grundsätzlich Dokumentation ist kein Selbstzweck. Dokumentation muss einen Nutzen haben und die Arbeit unterstützen. Ein Qualitätsmanagement-Handbuch fasst die Verfahren eines Qualitätsmanagementsystems zusammen. Die Art und der Umfang des Qualitätsmanagement-Handbuch sollte der Organisation angemessen sein. Hilfreich ist, eine klare Gliederung und die leichte Auffindbarkeit von Inhalten. Die Verfahren sollten leicht verständlich sein.
