  2. What is Poverty? It is the number of people living under the international poverty line of $1.25 a day, which is 920 million people.

  3. What is World Hunger? It is one in seven people or 925 million, or 13.1 percent.

  4. Facts on Hunger • This year nearly 9 million children, younger than 5, will die needlessly. More than half are from hunger related causes. • For the price of one missile, a school full of hungry kids could eat lunch everyday, for 5 years.

  5. Facts on Poverty • Poverty is the main cause of hunger. • Harmful economic systems are the principal cause of poverty and hunger. • Every three seconds a child dies of extreme poverty.

  6. How to help End World Hunger • Share food, technology, water, and land resources with developing countries. • Help with economic development of developing countries to allow its people to earn more money and afford more food This is called Ram and Guts. This is a food that they eat when they are really hungry. Here are people lined up to get food.

  7. How to Help End Poverty • The world can save millions of lives and hundreds of millions of its poorest people from the trap of extreme poverty. • The cost is 50 cents out of every $100 of rich-world income in the coming decade.

  10. Map Conclusions So as shown in the poverty graph; the places with the most poverty are in Africa and Southern Asia. And shown in the hunger graph; the places with the worst hunger problems are Africa, Asia, and South America
