V8.5 New Features

The Geovision NVR/DVR V8.5 introduces significant enhancements including wide angle lens dewarping to correct image distortion. Live streaming supports dewarping in Multicam view, Viewlog, and Single Player modes. Users can make adjustments to settings without interrupting the recording process. New features include email notifications, camera installation settings, and support for three major video codecs: H.264, MPEG4, and H.264 V2. Additionally, the system leverages GPU rendering for improved video analytics and now supports a range of new IP camera devices.

  2. Wide Angle Lens Dewarping • When wide angle lens is used, the image tends to have distortion, this function can correct this issue. • Supports in Multicam live view, Viewlog and Single Player

  3. Face Mask for Viewlog • When wide angle lens is used, the image tends to have distortion, this function can correct this issue. • Supports in Multicam live view, Viewlog and Single Player

  4. Recording Non-Stop • When GV system is recording, now you will be able to change most of the settings without stopping it. • Functions: • -E-Mail -Camera Install/Audio Setting • -Camera Configure -POS/WT • -PTZ setting -I/O application • -Schedule

  5. Standard Codecs recording • NVR/DVR v8.5 allows users to record live videos in 3 standard video codecs, H.264, MPEG4 and H.264 V2.

  6. GPU Rendering support • NVR/DVR v8.5 takes advantage of GPU’s (Graphic Processing Unit) power to render Video Analytics which helps to improve the performance of NVR/DVR.
