  2. Scatter Plots • Scatter plots are the graph of ordered pairs in a collection. There are three types of scatter plots: • Positive correlation • Negative correlation • No obvious correlation (N.O.C.) • These can help you graph certain graphs like looking at the rise of students at a school every year or to show the drop of population of a town. There will be a time where there will be a graph with N.O.C. like when it’s up or down.

  3. Positive Correlation • Positive Correlation is when there is a rise in a certain graph. Lets say there was a rise of accidents during a number of years. You would look at the chart and see a rise. Most correlations wont be perfect.

  4. Negative Correlation • Negative Correlation is when the is a drop in a certain graph. Lets say there was a drop in crimes during a number of months. You would look at the chart and see a drop.

  5. N.O.C. • N.O.C. (no obvious correlation) is when there is absolutely no way of seeing what correlation there is. There might be a rise then a drop then a rise then a rise the a drop etc.

  6. Game Time • Now it’s time for a guessing game with some questions of each correlation. Some will be more difficult then others. For those who have seen millionaire, this will be a game similar to this. You will have a time limit to guess what correlation it is for a random amount of points. Now lets start! (before we go on, do you have any questions?)
