  2. What does North Star do? • North Star began as a specialist adventure activity company in 1997 • Fujairah Adventure Centre opened in 1999 • Operate adventure, community service and curriculum-based trips to destinations across the world

  3. Paul Flaherty – Company Founder Paul is an ex-military man who spent 10 years in the British Special Air Service. He spent many years as an Instructor in different parts of the world, where he taught leadership, survival and extreme outdoor adventure skills in many types of terrain and climatic conditions. He is also a qualified SAS medic. Paul has a good working knowledge of local geography, natural history and culture.

  4. Outdoor Instructors All North Star instructors are suitably qualified experts in their particular fields.

  7. Safety • Safety is paramount to all that we do • All Staff are first aid trained • Risk assessments exist for all trips and activities • Hospital located 10 minutes from camp

  8. Activities • The following slides show the variety of Activities that take place at the North Star Adventure Centre • Some activities are restricted to certain age groups • We do more advanced activities for repeat students as they gain experience.
