  1. Ratio Test! Feb. 3rd, 2011 Take out: pen or pencil and paper. HW: p. 511 #12, 13, 14 and midterm reflection Do Now: • Review your HW. • One thing I understand well is… • One question I have is… Obj: • Find the interval of convergence of a taylor series using the ratio test. Agenda: • Do Now (5) • Review Ratio test (15) • Partner practice (15) • TTG (10)

  2. Ratio Test for Convergence of a series For the series if , then: • The series convergences if L < 1 • The series diverges if L > 1 • The series may converge or diverge if L = 1.

  3. Ratio test in action:Find interval of convergence and radius of convergence for each series From Lab: Try Again: Try two with your partner:

  4. Reflection (no more than one page) • Pick one piece of work on the midterm that you are proud of. Explain why you are proud of it. • Pick one piece of work on the midterm that is a place you can improve. What do you need to improve. • Set at least one goal for semester 2. (NOT a goal connect to a grade. If that is where your mind goes, think about what habits of being a student you need to get that grade and make THOSE your goals.)
