  1. After LS1: wish list from LHCf Takashi SAKO for the LHCf Collaboration LPC meeting

  2. Constraints • Radiation damage • Upgraded for rad-hard GSO scintillators • No effect <1kGy (500 nb-1 @√s=13-14TeV) • Available <1MGy (500 pb-1) • DAQ speed • No update since 7TeV run • >2μs event-to-event interval (<43 bunch) • No capability of pileup separation; μ<=0.01 LPC meeting

  3. Wish list • Take clean data before 500 nb-1 • Nb < 43 • β* = 11m (1mm dispersion on the detector) • L < 1029 cm-2 s-1 • 10 nb-1 at each energy • Energy scan for extrapolation to CR energy • 7 TeV to confirm previous data • 3.5TeV, 2.2TeV,… energy to be discussed (note: LHCf did not take data at 2.36TeV) LPC meeting

  4. Cosmic-ray spectrum & Colliders Knee: end of galactic proton CR End of galactic CR and transition to extra-gal CR Ankle (GZK) cutoff: end of CR spectrum 1010 1020 eV ISR RHIC SppS Tevatron LHC 7 TeV LHC 14 TeV LHC 0.9TeV LHC 3.5 TeV
