  2. Current Position • All Scottish authorities approved for training • Educator 464 • Net Nav igator 896 • IT Gatekeeper 221 • IT Consultant 391 • IT Manager 179 • All 4157

  3. Current Position II • 10 Scottish authorities reported delays to commencement for a variety of reasons. Most caught up now. • Variety of external/internal ECDL • Variety of supplementary and advanced training providers, some internal • 108 ECDL certificates awarded • ECDL is the easy bit

  4. Monitoring Feedback • Concerns about cost of release, staff time • Some changed from college ECDL to CD ROM, some unhappy about college learning environment • Positive reaction from staff • CD ROM useful but additional materials required to supplement it • Time for ECDL greater than anticipated

  5. Monitoring Feedback II • 511 completed training [Sco.] 38% • 589 started but not completed training [Sco.] 44% • Training plan target 1336 [Sco.] • 3042 completed training [Eng.] 28% • 5871 started but not completed training [Eng.] 54% • Training plan target 10794 [Eng.]

  6. Purpose of today • Ideas from other authorities • Informal discussion • Feedback from SLIC and NOF • Question and Answer • Identify possible areas for joint action • This is the biggest investment in training in the profession - ever - so make the most of the opportunity!
