  1. Some Of The Most Famous Outfits From Movies When you think of Hollywood blockbusters, what comes to mind are acting performances, cinematography, and musical scores. But costumes and outfits also have a great role in drawing in the audience. Their replicas remain in fashion even decades later.

  2. Here are some of the most iconic outfits ever designed for movies • Breakfast at Tiffany’s • Cleopatra • Gone with the Wind

  3. Breakfast at Tiffany’s Audrey Hepburn had already established herself as a fashion symbol in “Roman Holiday” and “Funny Face” before this film. Of all her Breakfast at Tiffany’s Clothes, the black dress designed by Hubert de Givenchy that she wears in the opening scene is a stunner. At the time, it was heralded as the pinnacle of twentieth-century fashion. Even after sixty years of its release (1961), replicas of the dress when worn are still a guaranteed head-turner.

  4. Cleopatra –The movie is still remembered for the elaborate dresses, jewelry, and headpieces worn by Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra. The queen’s blue dress, golden cape, and tasseled headpiece were matched with a new beauty movement of dramatic eye makeup – thick eyeliner and blue eye shadow coating the lids and brow. Cleopatra’s costumes and makeup carried the movie along even though it was plagued with huge financial losses • Gone with the Wind – This grand historical drama won 8 Oscars at the 12th Academy Awards. Set in the background of the Civil War, Scarlett (Vivien Leigh) wore dress that Rhett (Clark Gable) forces her to wear to a party to humiliate her as a harlot. But Scarlett stunned everyone by carrying the dress off royally. several costumes, all designed to flaunt her wealth. Memorable is the red
