  2. The National 4/5 Graphic Design Project The National 4/5 Graphic Design Project is based around the theme "Four Seasons". During this unit you will design covers for an Ipad and Iphone OR Graphic Designs for a range of Packaging for "His & Hers" Toiletries/Fragrance products. Your designs will be based on the natural objects, plants, flowers, insects etc, which can be seen duringONEof the Four Seasons of the year.

  3. In this unit you will follow the 4 stages of the Design Process - THE DESIGN PROCESS 1) RESEARCH 2) DEVELOPMENT 3)FINAL OUTCOME 4) EVALUATION

  4. During the Summer you were asked to complete Summer Design Homework on the right. This involved you in collecting Pictures/ visuals and Market Research for the Graphic Design Project.

  5. Over the Summer you should have collected the following types of picture/visual for your Research Sheet :

  6. The first stage of the Design Unit is known as: RESEARCH Hollister - Spring Computer Graphic Fonts Market Research Packagings Spring Colour Schemes Spring Photo collection Explain all of your work with annotated notes

  7. The second stage of the Design Unit is known as: DEVELOPMENT Annotated notes to explain the work Hollister - Spring Lettering Fonts Black and White tracings - Ideas for packaging (1&2) Idea for packaging (2) Idea for packaging (1) Spring Colour schemes

  8. The third stage of the Design Unit is known as: FINAL SOLUTION Final Solution Packaging for Hollister Spring Including lettering Fonts Final Solution 3D Packaging for Hollister Spring - including Lettering Fonts Final Spring Colour Scheme Annotated notes to explain work

The fourth and final stage of the Design Unit is known as: DESIGN EVALUATION This is an essay and / or annotated notes and sketches to explain your working practice and the success / and or problems you discovered while working on this unit. Your teacher will direct you and give you help with the DESIGN EVALUATION.

  10. The Development process stage by stage: Increasing details on the tracing paper Stage 1 Stage1/2 - Drawing images from Spring Research sheet onto Packaging format on tracing paper Measurements on package format Stage 2 Stage 3 - Scanning your image to make a completed Package Design Stage 3

  11. The Development process stage by stage: Stage 4 Stage 5 Stage 5 - Traced and simplified main shapes To allow colour to be applied to design Stage 6 Stage 6 - Colour scheme (2) applied to design in watercolour Stage 4 - Printed Design with allocated areas for Lettering Fonts

  12. The Development process stage by stage: Stage 7 Stage 8 Stage 7 - Colour scheme (2) applied to design in watercolour Stage 8 - Colour scheme (2) applied to design, with the Final Solution Graphic Design
