  1. Brain StretchIn your Monday Row Make your predictions and create a flow map, showing how you think U.S. History will progress now that they have won their independence in 1783.

  3. Guest Teacher Behavior and Assignments Many positives and some negatives. For those who behaved like you should and made a valid effort on the assignment, your grade is your reward. For those who were specifically listed, you will be assigned a lunch detention and will have to explain to me the reason why you were listed. In that conversation it will be determined if we need to make a call home.

  4. Pre-Test—Purpose and Expectations Remember a pre-test is to measure growth throughout a unit. We will have a real quiz on Friday. Until everyone is finished you need to be at a level 0. Doodle on the blank backside if it helps keep quiet.

Why Did the Founding Fathers believe the Articles needed to be replaced by the US Constitution? Strengths Weaknesses The first system of government designed by the Founding Fathers was a Confederation. Under a Confederate system, the National or Central Government is given only a few powers, while most of the power is reserved for the States.

  15. Conclusion Why did the Founding Fathers Choose a Confederation plan of government? They feared that a strong central government would create tyranny, and stamp out the peoples natural God given rights.

  17. Conclusion Why Did the Founding Fathers believe the Articles needed to be replaced by the US Constitution? The nation needed to function as ONE united country & not 13 small unorganized nations. Shay’s rebellion proved the need to strengthen the government.
