Tackling Intolerance: Reflecting & Responding to Injustice

  1. Bellringer: Jan. 30/31 What experiences do you think cause people to act intolerantly towards others? What are some ways you could stand up to others that are intolerant. If you have stood up for something right before, what did you do.

  2. Culminating Project- Tackling Intolerance Develop a PSA (PowerPoint,Video, Poster, Song/Rap/Jingle, or speech) • Due March 17-even. March 18- odd. We will go over this more after DCAS • Student examples from last year. Bullying Materialistic Clothing

  3. Read “Marriage is a Private Affair” by Chinua Achebe.Page 896 in the blue textbook. Answer questions A, C, D, E, and F which are found in the margins. Use details from the text in your answer and write with complete sentences. Then complete the “AFTER READING” assignment. This is the Handout This is ALL INDIVIDUAL WORK. Copied responses will receive zeroes. NO PARTNER WORK TODAY.

  4. DCAS begins on Monday. We will meet in S208. Be on time. Get a good night’s rest and eat a good breakfast. Remember your unit 2 project is DUE on Monday (even)/Tuesday(Odd)
