  2. I am very proud to be Patron of NODA and delighted that they have been awarded the Inspire Mark by the Cultural Olympiad. The focus of the world will be on the UK in the run up to the Olympics, which gives the country a unique opportunity to celebrate the vibrant UK arts scene and inspire young people to get involved. It always gives me great pleasure to find and work with talented young performers, so I am particularly delighted that the special projects NODA are organising this year will provide opportunities for so many young people to learn about and get involved in theatre. I encourage you all to get involved: be inspired, take part, or simply come and watch some of the fantastic, high quality amateur theatre that this country produces throughout the year. National Operatic & Dramatic Association • Promote your product to a passionate audience via a new and exclusive route. • Covers the whole of the UK. • Associate operations in the USA and Australia and the West End Theatre. • A strategy to develop a database of this audience to ensure customer acquisition.

The Roar of the Greasepaint! • 2500 societies across the UK. • 250,000 members of those societies. • 7 million annual audience of loyal patrons. • Each society produces up to four productions a year • Many famous names began in amateur theatre such as Ian McKellen, David Jason, Michael Crawford and AlfieBoe.

There’s no Business like YOUR Business! • With a major hotel group already in place, we are looking for a national carrier to provide transport from all corners of the UK. • Virtually every one of the 2500 societies operate trips to see West End productions each year. This is currently a fragmented operation but represents a major business opportunity for one national carrier. • A further opportunity exists in that most societies arrange coach trips to see other societies performing shows which they are about to undertake. • See over the page for our demographics.
