  4. Certification Requirements • LAST- Liberal Arts and Science Test • ATS-W- Assessment of Teaching Skills - Written • CST- Content Specialty Test

  5. NYS Law Seminars • Identification of Child Abuse and Maltreatment • Fire and Arson Prevention • School Violence Prevention and Intervention • Prevention of Alcohol, Tobacco and Drug Abuse • Highway and School Safety/Prevention of Child Abduction

Additional Requirements andRegistration Information • Additional Education Courses Required • FDED (3 s.h.) • ELED 104A (1 s.h.) • ELED 111 (1 s.h.) • ELED 122 (1 s.h.) • SPED 101 (3 s.h.) • Registration Information • Yellow Placement card completed in class and submitted to course professor. • You must note on the card if you are in the Early Childhood or Dual Program, so you will be placed at the appropriate grade level for your fieldwork.

Field Requirements forELED 125A/134 and SPG 29/24 • Hours in the field - minimum of 50 hrs • Grade level: • ELED 125A (1-6) • ELED 134 (PreK) • Professionalism • Documents for your cooperating teacher • Cover letter from course professor • Time sheet • Evaluation form & return envelope to be mailed to course professor

REVIEW • ELED 126L/127L or 135E/136E (Lang Arts & Social Studies) • Minimum of 90 hours in the field • Grade level 1-3 (ELED 126L/127L) Childhood • Grade level 1-2 (ELED 135E/136E) Early Childhood & Dual • Observed 4 times by a University supervisor • ELED 128L/129L or 128E/129E (Math & Science) • Minimum of 90 hours in the field • Grade level 4-6 (ELED 128L/129L) Childhood & Dual • Grade level 1-2 (ELED 128E/129E) Early Childhood • Observed 4 times by a University supervisor • ELED 121A/123 or 137/138-Student Teaching: full semester • Applications for spring semester due: May 1 • Applications for fall semester due: February 15 • Paper application due to the Office of Field Placement • TK20 application filed electronically Dual Program – add ELED 139 & ELED 140 (January, 2013)
