GDS & CEQ results on My University site in 2011 Review in 2011 and implement outcomes in 2012/13 DEEWR envisages extensive consultation with universities, students, employers and business groups • Funding: (for development and implementation) • 2012 up to $1.5m • 2013 up to $2.4m

Future of the AGS “The Government envisages extensive consultation during the review of the GDS and CEQ to seek the views of higher education stakeholders including universities, students, employers and business groups.” “Universities’ GDS and CEQ results will be published on the My University website from 2011 onwards.”

  8. Future of the AGS • PDF – ‘My University’ “The My University website will support the move to a student centred higher education system, improving transparency and informed choice. It will allow universities to benchmark their performance against each other while giving students the opportunity to make well-informed choices about higher education study options.”

Future of the AGS • My University will include (amongst other measures) • Results of student satisfaction surveys • Measures of graduate skills • Graduate outcomes “The My University website will make the information centrally accessible in a format that allows comparisons between institutions.”

Future of the AGS • PDF – Higher Education Performance Funding “The Performance Funding framework will ensure that universities target their efforts to improve outcomes for students.” Facilitation Funding and Reward Funding. “Extensive consultation is planned for the performance measurement instruments to be developed for five performance indicators ... The University Experience Survey, the Collegiate Learning Assessment, the composite Teaching Quality Indicator and the strengthened Australian Graduate Survey ...”

Future of the AGS • Strong ongoing role for AGS data in the quality agenda • AGS review will focus on what the sector needs • consider the strategic position of the GDS and CEQ in the context of the suite of instruments announced under the Teaching and Learning Excellence initiative announced in the Budget • improve the content and data collection methods • deliver more timely information • consider how to better capture aspects of student experience for external, Indigenous and international students
