  2. Information on Australia Total area of Australia, land: 7,682,300 sq km water: 58,920 sq km Climate: The climate is arid to semi arid.

  3. Terrain/land use Terrain: mostly low plateau filled with deserts and fertile plain in the southeast. Land use:Arable land: 6.15% (includes 27 million hectares of cultivated grassland (give or take)) Permanent crops: 0.04% Other: 93.81%

  4. The Great Barrier Reef Australia is the home of the world renowned great barrier reef. This reef has been around for thousands of years. Though recent studies have show that a massive coral collapse of the barrier reef has been caused by farming on the coast. The collapse caused a new and weedy type of coral to grow. Another study shows that half of the great barrier reef has disappeared in the past 30 years.
