  1. What difference does the Resurrection make? • Matthew chapter 28 • The resurrection means that: • Jesus is who He claimed to be • Jesus does have the power He claimed to have • Jesus does do what He promises • So what difference does this make for us • in NZ or Indonesia in 2011?

  2. 1. MY PAST CAN BE FORGIVEN “He [Jesus] has forgiven all our sins and cancelled every record of the debt we owed. Christ has done away with it by nailing it to the cross." (Col 3v14) Jesus says, “I have come to give you life in all its fullness.” (Jn 10 v10) Jesus also said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (Jn 8 v32) Apostle Paul said, “There is no condemnation awaiting those who belong to Christ.” (Roms 8 v1)

  3. 2. MY PRESENT LIFE CAN BE WELL LIVED Apostle Paul says, "How incredibly great is God’s power to help those who believe Him, the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead." (Cols 1 v20) And, "I'm ready for anything through the strength of Christ who lives in me." (Phil 4 v13)

  4. 3. MY FUTURE CAN BE SECURE Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.” (Jn 14 v6) “I am the res and the life. Those who believe in me (who go on believing in me) even though they die, will live again. They are given eternal life for believing in me and will never perish.” (Jn 11 v25) "This is the way to have eternal life. By knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ the one He sent to earth." (Jn 17 v3)

  5. Jesus calls us to make a difference in our world Christians have a difficult task, not because the message isn’t attractive but because we aren’t always attractive messengers. People are not as open to the truth because they don’t believe truth-tellers can be trusted. To establish fresh trust, we must first show our ability to love, through real and relevant acts of service; acts of unexpected kindness. To tell the truth we must show the truth.
