  3. Introduction 3D Printing • 3D printing is a form of additive manufacturing technology where a three dimensional object is created by laying down successive layers of material. • It is also known as Additive manufacturing.

  4. Let’s Print

  5. Different methods

  6. Printers Chocolate printer Cement printer PLA/ABS printer

  7. Need of this machine Industrial uses Rapid Prototyping Rapid Manufacturing Modeling Mass Customization Mass Production Research

  8. Domestic and hobbyist uses Clothing 3D Bio-printing 3D Printing For Implant And Medical Device 3D Printing Services

  9. Software’s required

  10. How to create first Job • 3D printable models can be created by using design softwars • By using 3D scanner.

  11. How to Print • To perform a print, you have create design files having .stl extension in 3D design software. Then you have to send it to machine software, then you have to convert that file to machine language. The machine reads the file and print it as per instructions. • It lays down successive layers of liquid, powder, paper or sheet material to build the model from a series of cross sections. • These layers, which correspond to the virtual cross sections from the CAD model, are joined or automatically fused to create the final shape. • Printer resolution describes layer thickness and X-Y resolution in dpi (dots per inch), or micrometers. The particles (3D dots) are around 50 to 100 µm (510 to 250 DPI) in diameter.

  12. Material Requirement • In FDM various polymers are used • Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) • Polycarbonate (PC), • Polylactic Acid (PLA) • High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) • PC/ABS • Polyphenylsulfone (PPSU).

  13. There should be good ventilation, • Notify others before beginning hazardous work. safety • Wear hand gloves

  14. Projects/models

  15. Reuse waste material as a glue (glue=Material:Asotin(1:3)) Takeout nozzle blockage by following the manual Check and adjust the bed level
