  1. 1. Establishment of relief/emergency camp: HANDS provided 46204 tents for camps in rescue and relief operation. During the year 2011-2012, 45265 people were evacuated and overall 62265 people were evacuated. 19 camps were established during last year providing shelter to 10229 people and overall 125 camps were established which provided shelter to 93947 people in 2010 and 2011 disasters.

  2. 2. Food Distribution During Emergency During last year 190265 families received food rations under this model. • Disaster Risk Management Center HANDS established 2 Disaster Risk Management centers in last year and 8 more centers are in process in different districts of sindh.

  3. 4. Network for Disaster Risk Reduction HANDS established 02 networks in Northern & Southern districts of sindh which represents about 600 CBOs. HANDS also lead a consortium of NGOs established by relief department of Government of Sindh. 5. Medical Camp During the year 2011-2012 total number of 2737 medical camps were held. The number of patients/clients attended during these camp were 292061, including 68587 men, 92890 women and 130589 children.

Training on Camp Management Duration 03 days, 30 trainings were conducted on camp management for organization professionals in last two years • Drought Mitigation Trainings Duration 06 days, 02 trainings were conducted in last couple of years and 50 participants were trained in drought mitigation.

  7. 9. Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction Trainings (CBDRR) Duration 04 days, 20 trainings were conducted and 574 participants were trained. 10. Community Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) Training Duration 06 days. • 30 master trainers were trained • 264 training were conducted and 8971 peoples were trained.
