  3. Anubis Anubis was the god of death and the watcher of the mummies until Osiris became pharaoh, and then he was a mere servant. He has the head of a jackal or dog.

  4. Ra Ra is the sun god. He is the god of order too. He’s also known as Amun-Ra. Ra appearsto be a man with a hawk head and a headdress with a sun disk.

  5. Bast Bast is the cat goddess. She is a faithful servant of Ra. She appears as a desert cat or a woman with the head of a cat.

  6. Apophis The giant snake demon Apophis was the symbol of dark powers. According to the legends, Apophis grabbed the sun ship at sunrise and sundown to stop the sun’s daily journey. The sun would beat him and throw him down. The blood creates the red sky.

  7. Set Set is the god of evil. In the Legend of Osiris, Set kills Osiris and scatters his body. Then, he took over to rule. Horus, the son of Isis and Osiris, defeated Set and restored order.

  8. Horus Horus is the sky god in human form with a hawk head. Horus symbolize the sky with the moon and sun as his eyes. Eye of Horus

  9. Osiris Osiris is the god of the underworld. He is shown as a mummy with a scepter and flail. His parents were, Nut, the sky goddess and Geb, the earth god. His colors are white, for the color of mummies, and black for death.

  10. Isis Isis is the sister of Osiris and Set. Yet, she is married to Osiris. She restored Osiris into a mummy after Set defeated him.

  11. Sekhmet Sekhmet was the goddess of war and destruction. She appeared as a lion or with the head of a lion. She married Ptah( the god of creation).They were complete opposites. The reason they married was because the sites of their cults were close together.

  12. Ptah Ptah is the god of craftsmen ,creation, and rebirth. He is married to Sekhmet. Ptah is a man wrapped tightly in a white cloak carrying a staff. He could speak words and the world came to existence.
