Chartermark 1 • A business – defined, assessed and monitored quality mark for the city-region which any educational institution (school, college or university) can sign up to which commits them to ensuring that their learners are work-ready • 1. Chartermark 2 • Deliver a well- motivated workforce with the skills to meet business need by improving employability skills of learners: • Direct exposure through work experience placements to give them an early, high quality experience of working life • Helping young jobseekers to navigate the labour market including help with CVs and Interviews, delivering key work-ready skills and attitudes • Direct involvement of business in career briefing and development of realistic curriculum material (case-studies, simulations etc)

Business in Schools Network • Increase Employer Engagement – raising awareness of the employability agenda (eg developing business awareness of and engagement in, employability activity within schools) by: • Developing a single marketing offer to business • Undertaking joint marketing activity
