Job Responsibilities • The main responsibility of the house manager is to supervise the entire production. • You make sure that everyone does their protocols and duties. • You are also in charge of the ushers, concessions, and the sales/tickets. • You also must also know what to do in case of emergency situation (ie, fire, someone gets hurt, ect.)

  3. 45minutes-1.5hours before show • Clock in • Check in with the director and auditorium manager. • Unlock all the doors needed • Put out the ticket machine • Check with director for special needs (handicapped areas, power point/video, ect.) • make sure people have done their protocols. • Put out programs at the doors (if any)

  4. 30-45 minutes before show • Time check with director that it is 30-45 minutes to House Open. • Check for patrons in the lobby. • Check peoples protocols. • Time check with staff that it is 30-45 minutes to House Open. • Set up projector (if needed) • Set up computer (if needed) • Have backstage bring in all line sets needed.

  5. 15 minutes, House Open, and intermission • Final time check at 15 minutes. • Check ready and open House • Make sure no one has food or drink in the House. • Check lobby to make sure its clear and tell director when lobby is clear. • When lobby is clear close doors quietly. • Fill out house manager paperwork while the show is running. • Open doors at intermission quietly. • Check with director about intermission time. • Time check with 5 minutes left. • Close House doors when intermission is over quietly.

  6. After show • Open doors quietly • Put away computer • Bring screen up • Follow take down protocols • Check out when everything is done • Finalize paperwork • When allowed clock out and make sure all doors are locked
