  3. Standard 1:Student Identification This standard outlines how our district screens, refers, and identifies students for the gifted program.

  4. Criteria to qualify for the AIG program is the same at every school. A student must meet 4 out of 5 criteria to qualify.

  5. High School Differentiated Education Plan DEP

  6. Standard 2:Differentiated Curriculum and Instruction This standard demonstrates the rigorous and challenging curriculum we offer our gifted students.

  7. Advanced Placement vs. Honors Honors Classes AP Classes • Offered 9-12 • Weighted 1 additional quality point in GPA • Advanced form of general course curriculum • Usually offered 10-12 • Weighted 2 additional quality points in GPA • College level course, developed and assessed by College Board

  8. Standard 3:Personnel and Professional Development This standard ensures that persons working with gifted students in our district are highly qualified.

  10. Standard 4:Comprehensive Programming This standard promotes the development of K-12 programming and services, involving the total school community.

  12. Standard 5: Partnerships This standard promotes partnerships between the school, parents, and the community at large.
