  2. Who are we? Sport Wales is the national organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and physical activity in Wales. We aim to get every child hooked on sport for life in Wales and to build a nation of champions. At Sport Wales our biggest assets are our staff. In order to recruit, retain and engage the very best people, we have developed an attractive reward and benefits package that reflects Sport Wales’ status as an employer of choice. We believe in continually reviewing what we have to offer, in order to provide benefits which are truly valuable to our employees. What can Sport Wales offer you? Competitive salary Sport Wales has incremental salary scales, and on the anniversary of your start date, you will move to the next point of the salary scale dependent upon satisfactory performance. In addition, where possible, a cost of living increase may be payable from 1 April each year. In addition, relevant shift and unsocial hours allowances are provided where irregular working patterns are a requirement of the role. Final salary pension scheme You may elect to join the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan Local Government Pension Scheme. Your contributions will range from 5.5% to 7.2% according to your salary level, and in addition to your contributions Sport Wales will also contribute 21.5% of your pensionable salary towards the scheme.

Your donations are deducted straight from your gross salary, giving you immediate tax relief.
