In Kashmir, a troubling trend rewards violence and unrest, often elevating those with a history of aggression to leadership roles. This perpetuates a cycle where good students struggle to emerge as good citizens. The solution lies in encouraging elected student leadership to foster democracy and peace. By empowering students to engage in participatory processes, we can cultivate a generation committed to democratic values and peaceful coexistence. A collective effort to reframe what it means to be a leader is essential for a brighter future for our youth.

Another generation towards de-generaion. Manufacturing bad students and bad citizens
Why do we need good students?Because only good studnets can become good citizens.
Violence, rigidity and radical approaches have long remained a source of inspiration to the people in Kashmir, especially the youth.

Why violence ? • A majority of the so-called leaders of this turmoil-torn zone have violent pasts and today they enjoy the prominence of a leader. Thus, in this lost paradise violence is rewarded, making it a platform for youth to prove themselves and emerge as achievers .
Here one can easily garnered appreciation: the larger the number of stones pelted the larger the recognition: the greater the damage to public property the greater the reputation of courage and the more panic one can inspire in the hearts of people, the closer you are to rising to prominence as a leader.
Elected Student leaders • Will nurture a future generation of democratic students who will be used to participatory process of elections in schools, colleges & ahead. • It will democratize the next generation and legitimize the electoral polity slowly and steadily.
