ASB – Snowhill Rec/The Woodlands, Hartshill • 24 targeted patrols, (in addition to Op Bracknell). • 07/12/08 group of rowdy youths dispersed from the Woodlands. 1 conveyed home and advised in company of his parents due to his poor attitude. • Dramatic reduction in complaints/problems of Nuisance Youths in Hartshill.

  6. Operation Bracknell • Anti-social Behaviour, Snowhill Recreation Ground, Hartshill • 17/10/2008 and 18/10/2008 • This operation took place in response to a rise in reported ASB in the area of Snowhill Rec. • Results • 17/10/08 – 5 officers worked between 4pm – 3am. 8 cans of alcohol seized from youths. • Visits to licensed premises in vicinity. • 18/10/08 – 5 officers worked between 4pm – 3am. • No incidents with youths.

  7. ASB – Lister Road/Manor Road, Atherstone • There have been 28 targeted patrols. • No problems encountered at Manor Road. • Problems encountered with youths congregating and being rowdy/drinking near to Lister Road shops on 7 occasions. They either dispersed or moved prior to or on police arrival. • CCTV in the form of a Dome Hawk camera is installed at Lister Road and the images are checked routinely for evidence. It is also checked following any reported incident.

  8. Other Work – • Early morning patrols during December by SNT officers to advise motorists re risks of leaving unattended vehicles running whilst defrosting. • Due to increase in burglary offences in Hartshill area targeted patrols were conducted. 2 offenders arrested and problem reduced as a result. • PCSO's have maintained close links with all NHW coordinators. • PCSO Kevin Insley is now in post at Hartshill Secondary School as School Liaison Officer. • PCSO Steele continues Rugby coaching at Hartshill and he has obtained funding from PAYP to attend coaching courses. • Continuing evidence gathering for ABC orders in relation to Nuisance Youths in East Forum area.

Other Work - Continued • Continued patrolling with Fire Service as part of Operation ASBIT looking at Anti-Social Behaviour. • PCSO’s Smith and Hodson held a crime prevention day at Co-op Superstore, Atherstone. • During November, officers and PCSO’s dealing with a neighbour dispute in Mancetter discovered several cannabis plants at an address. Male from address was arrested for cultivation of cannabis.

  19. POLICING PLEDGE • 1. Always treat you fairly with dignity and respect. • 2. Provide you with information about your dedicated Neighbourhood Policing Team and how to contact them. • 3. Ensure your Neighbourhood Policing Team and other police patrols are visible and on your patch at least 80% of their time visibly working in your neighbourhood. • 4. Respond to every message directed to your Neighbourhood Policing Team within 24 hours. • 5. Aim to answer 999 calls within 10 seconds giving an estimated time of arrival:  • Urban areas – 15 minutes • Rural areas – 20 minutes

Answer all non-emergency calls:  • If you are vulnerable or upset aim to be with you within 60 minutes. • If you are calling about a neighbourhood priority we aim to be with you within 60 minutes. • Alternatively, make an appointment at a time that fits in with your life and within 48 hours. • If agreed that attendance is not necessary, advise and / or put you in touch with someone who can help. • 7. Arrange regular public meetings to agree your priorities. These will include opportunities such as surgeries, street briefings and mobile police station visits. • 8. Provide updates on progress and on local crime and policing issues. • 9. If you have been a victim of crime, to be kept informed of progress in your case at least every month. • 10. Acknowledge any dissatisfaction with the service you have received with 24 hours.  • We want to do our best for you but if we fail to meet our Pledge we will always explain why it has not been possible on that occasion to deliver the high standards to which we aspire and you deserve.
