  3. INTERNATIONAL WEEK PRAGUE CZECH REPUBLIC 2007 International Week has a very long tradition. It is held in 35 countries and the number of participating universities constantly increases. Each of these countries organizes its International Week, and its purpose is to introduce to twenty foreign students the most interesting and best characterizing items of national art, culture, history and everyday life. A very important feature of this project is that it is completely free of charge for the foreign participants. This enables everyone to apply for participation regardless of his income level. The network of the student organization participating in the International Week exchange is temporary growing. INTERNATIONAL WEEK PRAGUE CZECH REPUBLIC 2007 • To be a participant of International Week means: • to meet new friends • to get to know new places (countries, towns, monuments) and not only through exploring the hosting country but also through home country presentations of the other participants • to take up with different cultures – learn specific features, habits, cuisine, heritage and values of particular nationalities which in the modern global world is very important for everyone who wants to establish international communication • to improve language skills (the participation of many different nations offers great opportunities) • to have a possibility to visit large international companies, to learn about their activities and corporate culture, eventually to find a future employer International Week has a very long tradition. INTERNATIONAL WEEK PRAGUE CZECH REPUBLIC 2007 • To be a participant of International Week means: • to meet new friends • to get to know new places (countries, towns, monuments) and not only through exploring the hosting country but also through home country presentations of the other participants • to take up with different cultures – learn specific features, habits, cuisine, heritage and values of particular nationalities which in the modern global world is very important for everyone who wants to establish international communication • to improve language skills (the participation of many different nations offers great opportunities) • to have a possibility to visit large international companies, to learn about their activities and corporate culture, eventually to find a future employer • Besides, to be an organizer of International Week means: • to gain or develop organizational, analytical and communication skills • to use his/her knowledge and experience in public relations, fund raising etc. which is useful not only in the professional environment but also in personal life (overcoming hurdles, stretching limits, raising self-confidence) • To be a sponsor of International Week means: • to have a possibility to recruit young, highly qualified, internationally orientated people and then take advantages of having international staff which has many positive influences on both internal and external aspects of company's operation • to create an opportunity to build a favourable company's image among business students from many countries • to get a chance to address and meet people who might be interesting for your company either as future customers or business associates

INTERNATIONAL WEEK PRAGUE CZECH REPUBLIC 2007 • International Week Prague 2007is organized by students of the University of Economics, Prague in cooperation withthe student organization • ESN VŠE Praha – Buddy System, o.s. • Buddy System at the University of Economics, Prague (UEP) has a long tradition. It represents students who decided to volunteer and work with both Czech and foreign students of UEP. This is a focal point providing mutual help. • Buddy System is aimed at: • promotion of the Czech Republic through organizing trips to the interesting and important places • promotion of the University of Economics through providing benefits to its international students • development of cosmopolitan mentality and intercultural communication through arranging various social events for both Czech and foreign students, e.g. country presentations including national cuisine tasting, university presentations, international parties etc. • Besides, to be an organizer of International Week means: • to gain or develop organizational, analytical and communication skills • to use his/her knowledge and experience in public relations, fund raising etc. which is useful not only in the professional environment but also in personal life (overcoming hurdles, stretching limits, raising self-confidence) • To be a sponsor of International Week means: • to have a possibility to recruit young, highly qualified, internationally orientated people and then take advantages of having international staff which has many positive influences on both internal and external aspects of company's operation • to create an opportunity to build a favourable company's image among business students from many countries • to get a chance to address and meet people who might be interesting for your company either as future customers or business associates

INTERNATIONAL WEEK PRAGUE CZECH REPUBLIC 2007 • International Week Prague 2007is organized by students of the University of Economics, Prague in cooperation withthe student organization • ESN VŠE Praha – Buddy System, o.s. • Buddy System at the University of Economics, Prague (UEP) has a long tradition.
