  2. Memory Verse Phil 4:13, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

  3. The Upper Room DiscourseJohn 13-16

  4. John 13:18 3) God's Omniscience does not hinder or violate human volition.

  5. Principles of the Believer's Election:

  6. The Divine Decree of God

  7. There are four primary views regarding the order of the Decrees; Supra, Infra, Sub and Arminian Lapsarianism.

  8. Supralapsarianism: a.k.a. hyper-CalvinismThis is the extreme view of God's sovereign will and election of believers to the exclusion of man's free will.

  9. a. The decree to elect some to be saved (a false position) and to reprobate all others. (This is double predestination and heresy.)

  10. b. The decree to provide salvation for the elect (which is the basis for limited atonement).

  11. c. The decree to create man, both elect and non-elect.

  12. c. The decree to create man, both elect and non-elect.d. The decree to permit the fall.

  13. c. The decree to create man, both elect and non-elect.d. The decree to permit the fall.e. The decree to save the elect.

  14. Infralapsarianism:a.k.a. Moderate CalvinismThis is what we believe by rightly dividing the Word.

  15. a. The decree to create all mankind.

  16. a. The decree to create all mankind.b. The decree to permit the fall.

  17. a. The decree to create all mankind.b. The decree to permit the fall.c. The decree to provide salvation for all mankind (unlimited atonement).

  18. d. The decree to elect some from among fallen mankind, and to leave others in their sin (those who will not believe in Christ).

  19. e. The decree to save the elect through faith in Christ (i.e. to apply salvation to those who believe).

  20. Sublapsarianism:a.k.a. moderate Calvinism. This view also only provides for a limited atonement.

  21. a. The decree to create all mankind.

  22. a. The decree to create all mankind.b. The decree to permit the fall.

  23. c. The decree to elect those who believe in Christ, and to leave in just condemnation, those who do not believe in Christ.

  24. d. The decree to provide salvation for the elect (limited atonement).

  25. d. The decree to provide salvation for the elect (limited atonement).e. The decree to save the elect through faith in Christ.

  26. Arminian Lapsarianism:This is the view of denominations that believe in works or perseverance for, or to maintain salvation.

  27. a. The decree to create all mankind.

  28. a. The decree to create all mankind.b. The decree to permit the fall.

  29. c. The decree to provide unlimited atonement (but they don't understand it correctly).

  30. d. Salvation by foreseen human virtue + faith + obedience (hence the blasphemy of salvation by works).

  31. e. Election as an act of God in time (which makes election synonymous with experiential sanctification).

  32. Under Calvinism, election is the sovereign choice of God in eternity past, which expresses His grace apart from every form of works, foreseen works and actual works.

  33. This is not true of Arminianism, which is total heresy. In their system the decree to save the elect through faith, follows the decree to save some who believe.

  34. Also their view depends not on faith in Christ for salvation but on human works called, "foreseen human virtue, faith and obedience."

  35. Therefore, they have a system of works for salvation, that is; you aren't saved until your deeds separate you experientially from the world.

  36. Divine Decrees and Lapsarianism Four views of Lapsarianism Supra-Lapsarianism Infra-Lapsarianism Sub-Lapsarianism Arminian-Lapsarianism
