  8. The Joker • Very popular with boys because laughter is part of their own “mask of masculinity” • Proves that overall men should not be serious or emotional • Some say that these roles can be used to expand definition of masculinity

  9. The Big Shot • Defined by his professional status • Rich-a lot possessions that society deems valuable • Epitome of success • Real man must be economically powerful and socially successful
