  1. TCAP • March 5 • March 7 • March 12 • March 14 (10th grade only)

  2. TCAP Schedule • The tests are on March 5,7,12, and 14(10th grade students only). • Test check in is 7:30 a.m. Arrive on time! • Bus Schedule is online at the Coronado Cougar website and in this month's issue of the parent newsletter. • The Inclement Weather Schedule is on the Coronado Cougar website.

  3. TCAP Rooms • In order to know what TCAP room to report to, students need to find their names on the posters which will be hanging from the front display case in Building A on the Friday or Monday before. • You will be testing with your Cougar Connection class/teacher but in a different room.

  4. Nutrition During TCAP • Students should eat a healthy, protein rich breakfast. "Grab and Go" breakfasts will be available in the Cafeteria. Students are welcome to bring their own healthy snacks to their TCAP test. • Drink plenty of water before the test. Remember, our brains are comprised mainly of water. When we are dehydrated, our bodies get sleepy and our brains don't function as well.

  5. Sleep Before TCAP • According to the National Sleep Foundation, teenagers need 8 1/2 to 9 hours of sleep per night for optimal brain and body functioning. Students should plan on sleeping accordingly.

  6. Cell Phones During TCAP • Cell phones are NOT allowed in the TCAP testing rooms; thus, students should plan on leaving their cell phones at home.

  7. Comfort During TCAP • Students will not be allowed to go to their lockers to get their coats; thus, they should plan on dressing for comfort by dressing in layers. Students should wear sweatshirts or sweaters over long sleeve shirts. If they get warm, they can remove an outer layer.

  8. Calculators During TCAP • Because the school has a limited supply of calculators, students should plan on bringing their own calculators for Session 3 on the Math test. • Math test will be Tuesday, March 12.

  9. Reading During TCAP • Students will be allowed to read their own books and magazines after they have completed each section of the TCAP test. As students will not be allowed to go to their lockers, they should plan accordingly and bring those materials to the test with them.

  10. Attend and try your best Cougars!
