  1. Gaming systems over the years and there changes to todays online gaming

  2. Gaming has come a long way from the times of the Atari to todays wii,xbox 360 and PS3 • As graphics have changed to has the type of games • With competing companies Such as Nintendo and Sega Earlier on many systems have b been made.

  3. As the atari became obsolete the Nintendo system was introduced then later the super Nintendo • But there was also the Sega Genesis • Later came the PlayStation and N64 • Both these systems changed how things were as their graphics allowed for better games to be played and displayed on TV.

  4. So eventually after all those systems more continued to tom come out like the Sega dream cast and a revised version of the PlayStation called d PS1 • Although the PS1 was remade the PS2 was also released • Although after this point this was wen the real competition began between companies.

  5. With the turn of the century the competition began as the PS2 newly remade with its additional partner the PSP,Nintendo GameCube and XBOX competed to see which system people would want more. • But a interesting fact was the addition to play online with other players but this was only for the PS2 and XBOX • Both systems through the use of network connections thorough Ethernet cables allow individuals to play each other from different parts of the world

  6. Still that wasn’t it as the companies made new systems which eventually led to the systems we have now. The PS3,Xbox 360 and Wii.

These new systems have all been incorporated to be able to play online through the use of either Ethernet cables connected to networks or Wi-Fi networks. • Although each system has their own type of network they connect to • The PS3 has the PlayStation network to connect to, The Xbox 360 has Xbox live to connect to and The Wii has the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection

While the PlayStation network and Nintendo Wi-Fi connection are free to use by those who have the systems Xbox live requires a fee to be used fully. • So with these networking systems each must have a place where they originate from which is Sony for PSN(PlayStation Network) Nintendo for the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection and Microsoft for Xbox live.

  9. Not only do these networks provide the ability to play online but also being able to access the web and provide updates for the systems when needed and also provide Netflix capabilities. • But you can also be able to download games as well and other features for your system.

  10. Things have changed from the orginal gaming systems which only allowed players to play if they were next to each other now one can play with anyone through the use of online gaming provided by networks and the companies networking systems.
