3 CREATIVE WRITING • Class study of different writing genres • Pupils explore their own writing • Large variety of writing pieces produced • UNIT TEST = Folio of 4 redrafted pieces from 2 genres • 2 best folio pieces from 2 genres submitted to SQA for assessment in May • 30% of final AH English Award
3 TEXTUAL ANALYSIS • Class study of literary texts • Practice in analysing unseen texts of different genres • UNIT TEST = Extended ‘critical analysis’ of an unseen literary text • EXAM = Extended ‘critical analysis’ of an unseen literary text - 1hr 30 mins • 30% of final AH English Award
