  3. CISP Rollout • Schools which were to receive rollouts in January 2004 have been contacted (147 Schools) and told to order units. • Orders are placed through CISP team, not Suppliers • Other schools will be notified RSN.

  4. Rollout Changes • Orders placed with CISP team • Schools nominate the preferred supplier • Computers are purchased not leased • 4 year warranty • 4 year rollover

Webservices • Webservices Regional Implementation Coordinator • Ingrid White • 22 schools nominated themselves for webservices installation and training across the Sydney Region. • (Note: Federation bans still in place) • Schools have been configured by HP contractors. • Initial training is being carried out. • 2 day training: Day 1- Principal and nominated staff Day 2- Just nominated staff • Next term another new position will be created – • Web Services Regional Support Officer • This support officer will be responsible for providing web services system administration support for the regional and SEA offices as well as for schools

  7. New MS Staff Agreement • Changes to Work At Home Rights for MS Software. • Staff are no longer permitted to borrow media from the department for installation on their home computer. • Microsoft requires that each staff member who is taking advantage of the Work At Home Rights to own a set of media with a unique serial number. • This media is purchased by the staff member through the Microsoft Reseller, Simply International and is the property of the staff member. • The media is valid for use under DET licensing while the staff member is employed by the department. Download the order form and call either Elizabeth or Liliane on 9959 4555 to order your media. • Cost ~ $30-40 per software title
